Monavie

Here is some basic info on Monavie

MonaVieTM is an exquisite health drink packed with the power of Acai berries, destined to make a profound difference in the lives of countless peoples of the world. The formulators of MonaVieTM, driven by a passion for helping humanity and brining abundance into the lives of many, have created the consummate blend of health-promoting fruits from the four corners of the earth.

The main difference between The MonaVie Original and MonaVie Active is the Active contains glucosamine hydrochloride and esterified fatty acids and the original does not. Glucosamine hydrochloride is a natural compound found in the body that is used to help make and form cartilage. Glucosamine has also been shown to help lubricate, cushion, protect, and rebuild joints.

Esterified fatty acids are thought to reduce pain-like symptoms and rapidly promote joint health, improving flexibility and mobility. Esterification is the general name for a chemical reaction in which two chemicals (typically an alcohol and an acid) form an ester as the reaction product.

Here is a ingredient list for the MonaVie blends.

MonaVie Original is a blend of 19 different fruits which are: proprietary blend of Acai freeze dried powder and whole fruit juice; fruit juice from concentrate (white grape, nashi pear, acerola, aronia, purple grape, cranberry, passion fruit, apricot, prune, kiwi, blueberry, bilberry, wolfberry, pomegranate, and lychee, camu camu); fruit purees (pear, banana, bilberry); citric acid, natural flavor, sodium benzoate.

Jeans, take 2

Jeans a full 2 sizes smaller than what I was wearing in mid December can now be zipped. Not worn for any period of time, but still zipped.

Go me!

The purpose of my life...

is to achieve the things I dream of and through those achievements inspire others to strive to meet their own goals.

Grand return

So I just returned from Arizona. Quite a bit of fun. Lots of large fencing battles which involved me running around like a nut. if you want to see more about it got to

www.estrellawar.org

That is where i was. Recreating medeival times and fencing and visiting with friends.

Usually when i go to this thing I struggle - eating food from the equivalent of carnival food for 4-5 days. This week - I joined on somebodies camping meal plan and saved myself bunches of calories. I also kept myself away from the temptation of fried foods and ice cream. In fact my food consumption over all was quite low.

I had been doing the chicken apple diet thing last week prior to my vacation and was down quite a few pounds (according to my scale about 3 or 4). This morning when I got on the scale I was only 1.3lbs higher than my low weight last week. Pretty happy with that.

As I never got to officially weigh in on the chicken/apple cleansing diet - I am restarting that today. This time around feels easier to deal with, though I'm curious how the workout tonight is gonna be. We shall see!

Though I had fun, i'm sure glad to be back on track. April 15th is not that far away!

Undeterred

Sigh, I was very down that after all of that running I ruined it with a slight foray into a breakfast buffet last sunday. I used the minor gain as a springboard to be a hawk about my food intake. To record every last morsel that went into my mouth.

I have not run as much this week, my knees and ankle really sort of needed a break - but I have worked out most every day and I'm feeling confident I can get through super bowl sunday without busting my calories.

My goal - to count count count. I want to see the scale go down!

Good things!

Once again I spent the weekend away. I was in a nice hotel in Merrimack New Hampshire, primarily for a fencing tournament - but also for socializing.

I did not make the best food choices, but I also was not completely out of control. Over all I think I did fairly well considering my food options.

I am very proud to have finished 13.1 miles. I think it would have been easy for me to do even a few more miles. 1 mile is beggining to be very easy & 2 miles is starting to feel pretty good.
I'm eager for the time to come when 3 miles doesn't seem so difficult again!

I'm a tiny bit nervous about what this past weekend's food choices will show on the scale, but I do know that my measurements will show some positive changes. I'm eager to see that, and eager to get to RKB tonight. I especially want to mention that ALL of the instructors at RKB have been stupendously motivating - ESPECIALLY - Diana! Thank you All!!

Good choices

I was away in NYC this weekend. No opportunity to work out on Friday, and had to take Thursday off because my body was just exhausted.

However, I managed to make it to my friend's gym on saturday and get an hour of cardio in. I felt rather accomplished and a little bit smug :)

I feel I made pretty good food choices this weekend, by far better than I normally make when I'm visiting friends in the city.

Tiny bit of chinese food for dinner tonight but that is ok, I'll just drown myself in water and work my ass off Monday and tuesday!

Got 2 rounds of shadow boxing in today after returning home from the city. That means 8 rounds to be done tommorow. Yikes!
